Today was a big day in the world of exercising “with child”. I braved what they like to call a “Power Pramming” group.
I think it went really well actually. Like, REALLY well. We survived the torture… It might have something to do with the first 30 minutes passing us by as though it never even happened, I mean, I don’t know. It might have been due to the fact that the first 30 minutes never did happen.
Because we weren’t there.
No. You heard correctly. Due to a communication breakdown on the Power Pramming website, and forgive us for getting this wrong – but we stupidly thought it started at 10.30am as written on the website, and not 10am, as well, written NO WHERE! Silly us! Must be that mummy brain that everyone speaks of. You know, that brain that reads things correctly to ensure you arrive at said time but ACTUALLY, ACTUALLY, our psychic powers failed us.
Anyhoo – despite the missed two laps of the park (shame), the class was pretty good. We did a bit of walking and running with prams and babies (lovely, they all slept a treat) and then the prams got parked up while all mummy’s were put through their paces. Babies, on the other hand, were not so happy being parked and stationary, and so decided in turn to start a chorus of “Cry me a River” like choir of drowning cats. It was a beautiful moment… really added to the ambiance of flustered mums trying not to get depressed about their soft guts jiggling whilst running. One problem at time kids, please!
